Rann Coker Obituary
In Loving Memory of Rann Coker
(May 19, 1962 - February 13, 2024)
Rann Kipling Coker, 61, was a faithful man who walked with God. He left this world surrounded by his family and entered the presence of Jesus on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Born to Johnnie Rudyard and Billie Irene (Lee) Coker on May 19, 1962, in Shawnee, OK. Rann was a cherished son and a beloved brother to Jay and Lee.
Rann lived out his faith in Christ with integrity and intentionality. He was a dedicated member and deacon at Hope Church in Fort Worth, TX. His relationship with God was evident in the way he loved and served others every day.
Rann took great joy in his roles as a loving husband, father, and “Rannpa.” His devotion to his wife, children, and ten grandchildren was unwavering, leaving a profound mark on their lives. His family remembers him not only for the wisdom he shared but also for the laughter and joy that filled their home. The greatest gift he gave them was the spiritual heritage of knowing God. He shared the story of Jesus with them, encouraged them to walk with Christ, and set an example of how to live out their faith in day-to-day life.
Rann's vocation as a salon owner for 41 years allowed him not only to craft stylish looks but also to build meaningful relationships with his clients. His warm demeanor and genuine care touched the lives of many. Rann’s legacy extends beyond the salon as a testament to the impact of a life lived with purpose and kindness.
Beyond his professional life, Rann was an avid golfer who found joy on the greens with friends and family. In his earlier years, Rann enjoyed bodybuilding, leathercraft, acting, water skiing, drawing, pastels, and painting.
As Rann’s family mourns his passing, they find deep peace in knowing he had a personal relationship with Jesus and is now celebrating in heaven for eternity.
He was preceded in death by his father Johnnie Rudyard Coker (April 8, 2023).
Rann is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Darla; his four children Rannda Candace (husband John-Mark) Hart, Camrann (wife Libby) Coker, Cathrann Cassidy (husband Noble) Paddyaker, and Calvrann Coker; his ten wonderful grandchildren Abigail, Elijah, Zoe, Sophia, Lily, Aidan, Charlotte, Silas, Deyo, and Lucy; his mother Billie Irene (Lee) Coker; and his brothers Jay (wife Candy) Coker and Lee Coker; as well as many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 19th, 2024 at Hope Church located at 1750 Beach St, Fort Worth, TX 76103 at 1:30pm CST. For those who are unable to attend, there will be a livestream. In lieu of flowers, Rann would want any donations to go to Hope Church to further the mission of Jesus. Thank you for your love and prayers.
